Gold Medal Performance?

So, tonight was our Quarterly Relief Society Enrichment Activity for church and we put on a Talent Show. As part of the Enrichment Committee, we decided we TOO were going to participate in the Talent Show...what did we decide to do you ask?
With the recent amazing Olympics...we decided we'd do a

Synchronized swimming routine (complete with blue tarp for the water). Costumes included bikini's outside our shirts and swim caps.

ENJOY! (I'm second from the left)

Funny note: I was also the MC for tonight's Talent Show. Right before our skit I realized I hadn't given anyone the camera to record, so as part of my announcement of our act I added "and...I have to have someone record this...because this is going to make a great blog" and I handed the camera to a random person :) I'm a dork.

Go blogs!

We are dying here! As Erica would say, "Laughing. Ha, ha!"

You are all fabulous, and you all get gold, including the shark. Just wondering, who was the instigator of this miraculous performance?

I wish WE had Relief Society like that!

Some random person eh??

Definitely a gold medal performance and you were the star. Jordan and I LOVED it. We're watching it as we're wondering whether our trees are going to fall over or our house is going to flood because of hurrican Ike. Thanks for the light moment!! Sorry Ang, if it's a boy we won't like it very much if you name it Ike because he's given us a lot of stress. Although, now that Jordan and I think about it Mike and Ike is kind of catchy.

Sharon! Mike and Ike...that is inspired!

We are all thinking of you and hoping all goes well for your household in Houston. At least if there's any flooding you could practice your synchronized swimming!

Hey FYI. Down East online (downeastbasics.com) has their maternity wonder tees and crews for only 7.99. AND if you go into the store, and get the catalog, there's a code for free shipping.

Just thought I'd let ya know!

Okay, this is seriously AWESOME! I laughed and laughed and laughed. I'm going to have to remember this idea if I ever need to come up with a talent. AND, I'm glad you had a stranger tape it for you so that we could see it in all of it's blog glory. My favorite part is somewhere in the middle when three of you circle the other one who is twirling on a chair (i think).

Definitely a "golden" moment for us. I think that the Today show should interview us. So glad you videoed it, I will have to borrow it and have it on my blog also!

Oh, Wow. There were so many brilliant moments -- the legs, the shark, the choreography. LOVED it! And I especially love Sharon's comment about naming the baby Ike. Now I'll be hoping for a boy. :)

andrea.roche said...

Glad u felt the baby!!! Is it not the craziest thing ever? AND, it only gets stronger....sometimes I feel like Trey is trying to climb out!!
PS Those shirts could seriously fit me non-preggo. They are just a lot longer. But, don't worry give it a few more weeks and your belly will "pop" :)
