WALKING!

If you were to ask me 3 months ago when my child turned one and couldn't even ROLL over, if this day would ever come...I would tell you no. And here we are, Colton is walking! It's an awesome thing to witness and he looks so cute doing it. As he walks around he even sometimes babbles "walk walk walk walk" with each step. He is quite pleased with himself...as are we.

I happened to catch is veeerrryyy first steps on camera last week. Here they are:
(*his reaction to EACH step is great, and I'm pretty much flipping out the whole time. His motivation for walking forward was to see the dog on the Baby Einstein movie)

One week later and he's a total pro. Here he is walking, turning, making baskets... I love it:

AWESOME!!!!!! This is so great. I love hearing how excited you are with each of his first steps, and I love seeing how much he learned in just a week! Babies really are incredible. I love all of his satisfied looks, grunts, and smiles. I'm so glad I get to see him soon!

This is fabulous footage (literally)!

I am so excited! Not many people capture the very first steps on film...that is classic. I love him saying, "Walk, walk," and I love your spontaneous reactions, and the pleasantly surprised look on his face. And, wow, what progress in just a few days! Wouldn't it be great if we could all learn that much in one week! Love hearing Mike analyze Colton's shooting strengths. You are all awesome. THANK YOU for posting. You made my day.

Yay, Colton! Looks like walking has really advanced his basketball skills:).
Schae loved watching the little videos of Colton. He was pretty excited about all the balls in them, basketballs, a huge exercise ball in the background, etc...

So fun to watch and watch and watch!!!! What a difference in the two videos. I love his little grunts, him saying "walk, walk" and how excited he got when he got close to the basket. Way to have the video camera right there! I'm sure he'll be running soon. So glad we got to see him walk in person.
